Head Girls Swimming & Diving Coach
Coach Stenstrom comes to Valor with an extensive background as a competitive Swim Coach, as well as an accomplished athlete. She coached for many years with the nationally-ranked Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics organization, as well as at Menlo-Atherton High School. Coach Stenstrom attended Stanford University where she was a 17-time Collegiate All-American and NCAA champion. She also was a member of the USA National Team for 7 years, medaling for the United States in the Pan Pacific, Pan American, and World University Games. She was alternate of the U.S.A Olympic team, as well as a member of 4 American record-breaking medley relay teams. Outside of the pool, Coach Stenstrom has served as Co-Founder and COO of Kingdom First Ministries, an athlete-mentoring program on the Stanford University Campus, as well as 2nd Mile, a construction non-profit that renovates homes and schools in marginalized communities. She and her husband Steve have four children.
