Valor Christian High School selected as an Exemplary Accredited school by the ACSI Commission, and was one of the first two schools in the world to receive this distinction.
Valor has maintained dual accreditation through AdvancED, one of the largest public and private accreditation organizations, and ACSI, the largest Christian school accreditation commission in the world. ACSI has 23,400 member schools in more than 100 countries.
In 2014, Valor invited a greater level of ACSI inspection that could serve to set a higher bar for Christian schools. The process was quite extensive, requiring a yearlong internal study, data analysis and narrative summation regarding every aspect of the school. It also required surveys from students, parents, faculty and administrators. This was followed by a four-day on-site inspection by a national evaluation team of administrators from colleges and high schools. The team visited classrooms, conducted further interviews with stakeholders throughout the community and reviewed self-analysis reports, survey data, and critical factors such as board governance, executive leadership, financial stability, academic achievement and spiritual formation. Findings were submitted to an ACSI Commission who unanimously approved Valor for Exemplary Accreditation.
