Valor Arts is pleased to announce Arthur Miller’s All My Sons as our fall play.
All My Sons is a powerful American classic that explores the dark side of the American dream, complex family dynamics, and a person’s responsibility to the world beyond his own home.
Based on the true story of an Ohio manufacturer who sold faulty parts to the U.S. military during World War II, the play’s central character faces the true cost of his choices and their devastating impact on the family he loves.
Auditions for Arthur Miller’s classic American tragedy, All My Sons.
You must register to audition using the link below prior to arriving for the audition on Saturday.
The audition will be 9AM-5PM on Saturday, May 12 (see schedule below). If you end up on the callback list, we may need you until 5:00, but if not called back, you will be done by 1:00 after the older kids spend time getting to know the incoming freshmen during lunch.
The schedule for the audition and first read-through is as follows:
Students need to prepare two contrasting one-minute monologues – by contrasting, they need to seem like two completely different characters; one comedy and one drama are fine. Please be fully memorized and really create believable characters.
Bring lunch money – students will all go to lunch together, the older ones welcoming in the newbies.
Callbacks. Students called back will read further scene work and work with the director to see how they might fit into the production. The cast list should be posted on Facebook by evening.
3PM-6:30PM, Monday, May 14
First read-thru. If you have been cast, bring heavy snacks, water, and a pencil with an eraser.
