Where do you go when you have big life questions?
And just as important: What do you say when your kids have big life questions?
Here at Valor, we seek answers in the timeless truth and wisdom of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus.
But not everyone understands the Bible or agrees with it. In light of this, Valor is a great place to ask questions:
- Is there more to life than this?
- Who is Jesus?
- Why and how should I pray?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
To help you explore these questions and others, join us for the upcoming opportunity to try Alpha:
Alpha Course for Parents
Begins January 16
Tuesdays, 5:45–7:15 pm
The Valor Center Upper Lobby
To whet your appetite, you have the option to preview the first session video before you come.
We are also offering Alpha for students, Tuesdays during Business Lunch, 12:00 – 12:45 pm, in The Valor Center Upper Lobby. The student sessions, hosted by students and student-chaplains, include a complimentary lunch and small group discussions. A national study among Christian youth groups found that 7 out of every 10 students had doubts about God and faith. But less than half of them were likely to talk with a leader about their doubts.
Here’s the good news—and it’s why we’re offering the Alpha Course to both parents and students: High school students who feel free to express doubt and discuss their personal problems with adults show greater faith maturity in college.
The more you examine your own doubts and the doubts of your student, the more you can benefit from Valor’s partnership with you as a parent.
For students and parents alike, Valor provides the opportunity to explore matters of faith, to ask questions in a safe environment and to grow in knowledge and understanding of God. Each one of us must take our own journey.
