VALOR CHRISTIAN SEEKS NEW HEAD BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO — February 21, 2019 — Valor Christian High School Athletic
Director Jamie Heiner announced today that the school’s head boys basketball coach, Troy Pachner, will not be retained moving forward. Pachner has served as the head coach for the last four seasons.

“Coach Pachner has served well and leaves with sincere appreciation from me, and many others, for the investment he has made into our school and specifically the Boys Basketball program. He has operated in class and dignity. I know Troy to be a loving man of faith, character and integrity and I want the best for him as he moves forward.”

With Pachner leading the program over the past four seasons the teams built a record of 77 wins – 29 losses and with that run have earned an Elite 8 finish, a State Runner up finish and the first State Championship in Boys Basketball for Valor Christian. Additionally, Pachner was named CHSAA State Coach of the Year in 2017.

Pachner left these words to his community:

I am thankful for my time at Valor and the relationships I have built. I have great admiration and respect for what many the coaches and teachers do in support of the student-athletes. Furthermore, I consider many of them my friends and I have benefitted personally and professionally from our shared experiences.

I am proud of the fact that we served Valor and our student-athletes authentically. More importantly, I was able to build incredible relationships with many of our players and their parents that will continue to flourish beyond our time together. It was a great privilege to coach and mentor our incredible student athletes and to serve them in the capacity of head boys basketball coach.

Valor Christian will immediately begin a search for the next head coach. Inquiries can be made at https://govalor.com/welcome/careers/
