Discovery Administrative Support

ROLE SUMMARY

As one of Valor’s foundational pillars, Valor Discovery seeks to provide opportunities for our students to actively serve and grow in their faith locally, nationally and internationally. The Discovery Administrative Support role is designed to support the mission and day-to-day functions of the department. This individual will be in close contact with students, parents and with some of the team leaders. The ideal candidate for his job would have strong administrative skills, a heart for teenagers, as well as a healthy understanding of serving as the hands and feet of Christ. He or she will work closely with the Discovery Coordinators to meet the vision of preparing tomorrow’s leaders for Christ through service.

Provide Administrative and Team Support
● Provide team support regarding all matters, processes and initiatives
● Demonstrate a strong proficiency in administration, database management, office and Google spreadsheet/ narrative and media
products, strong communications skills, digital media management, and experience with Google Drive
● Work with leaders to manage service hours, forms, deadlines and legal documents for team travel
● Serve as the point of contact for event coordination on and off campus, as necessary
● Assist in managing volunteers to assist in event support and ongoing needs of the department
● Support the department with managing asset inventory and resources
● Broad support role throughout the department and for team leaders as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
● Bachelor degree
● Proficiency in Google spreadsheets and Google Drive functions
● Database experience
● Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
● Excellent oral and written communications

POSITION TYPE: C – Year-round
HOURS PER WEEK – Hourly, Full-time – Flexible
SUPERVISOR: Director of Discovery and Outreach
