Fundraising makes it possible for young lives to be transformed. It is about what we believe in, what we are doing, where we are headed and the reasons why.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our parents, alumni, and friends, Valor is providing a world-class college preparatory experience that is setting a new standard for Christian education across the country.

The 2020-2021 Annual Fund Giving Guide highlights many opportunities for you to focus your giving on your specific area of passion and interest. Learn more by reading the full guide here and viewing all ways to give below.

Ways to Give

Direct Giving

You can make a gift by cash, check, credit card, or through the transfer of stock and securities. Some companies also provide corporate matching opportunities.

Stock Contributions

Should you prefer to contribute stock and securities, we can facilitate the gift through our brokerage account at Charles Schwab.

Where to Give

Blue and White Giving Circle Membership Levels

Your gift to the Valor Fund also includes the benefits of membership levels within the Blue & White — our new giving circle.

At Valor, our core belief that all truth is God’s truth inspires us to engage in academic pursuits with curiosity, humility and rigor.

Funding goals for 2021-22:

Expansion of Endorsement Programs – Enhance opportunities through STEM, Humanities, and Business Endorsement programs.
Professional Development – Provide faculty growth opportunities to advance student learning.
Teacher Residence Program – Train up the next generation of Christian faculty through training and mentorship.

The Valor Fund

The Valor Fund is our way of funding continuous improvement. Without this extra support, we would have to limit our vision for program enhancement to the capacity of tuition and fees. But students would miss immediate opportunities that come with growing into the distinctive high school our mission compels us to become.

The Valor Fund unites gifts of all sizes to enhance programs school-wide.

We prepare students to offer their artistry to a world that longs for beauty, hope, and redemption with the desire that they will use their God-give talents and abilities to reclaim the arts for Christ.

Funding goals for 2021-22:

Expansion of Film Program through a high-level industry partnership for student filming and production.
Funding of our Summer Musical, which has been entirely donor-funded since inception.
Enhancement of Film and Broadcast Studio with Cyc Wall for expanded film, broadcast and animation opportunities.

Endowment Fund

An endowment takes in contributions of money or other assets, which uses the resulting investment income for a specific purpose. In 2019, Valor took steps to create several endowment funding opportunities that align with and advance our mission.

For you as a parent, the benefit of an endowment comes in the form of enhancing a program or offsetting operating costs. In other words, it supports affordability without sacrificing the quality of your student’s Valor education.

For you as a donor, an endowment gift creates a sustained benefit to programs and priorities at Valor that are most significant to you. You might add to an endowment fund with one or more gifts or plan a legacy gift through your will or trust.

For Valor, an endowment is important to protecting and perpetuating our commitment to Christ-centered excellence and independence. Investment income can provide stability and relieve pressure as the economy changes.

We produce young men and women of character, who love God with their whole heart and who see their worth in a light of God’s love for them and call on their life in service to him.

Funding goals for 2021-22:

Stadium Scoreboard & Sound System upgrades in the stadium field
Auxiliary field turf upgrade and renovation of seating areas and brick walls
Baseball and Softball Stadium Seating Enhancements

It is Christ’s calling on our lives as Christians to spread His love through serving others and making disciples; and it is our mission as Valor Christian High School to prepare our students to transform the world for Christ.

Funding goals for 2021-22:

Our capital improvements fit two broad categories: improvements and enhancements to existing facilities and construction of new facilities.

We maintain an active priority list for improvements. Next on our campus master plan, we anticipate an additional academic building that is in the early stages of conceptual planning.
