Girls tennis defeats Kent Denver 6-1, sweeps Wheat Ridge 7-0 to remain undefeated

This past week, the girls returned to action after a few weeks off and picked up where they left off. After getting snowed out on Tuesday, the girls traveled to Kent Denver on Wednesday to face the always tough Sun Devils. The girls competed hard to the last point and came away with a 6-1 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Darby Warburton and Isabella Pacheco played extremely well in their wins at #2 and #3 singles to get the girls off to a strong start. The #2 doubles team of Nicole Gutesha/Elizabeth Jones won a grueling three set match while the #1 team of Tiffany Parobek/Lucie Hosse played a strong match in their straight set win. The #3 team of Marguerite Keegan/Sam Chavez and the #4 team of Mary Hertel/Avery Warburton rounded out the 6-1 win with straight set wins as well!

On Thursday, the girls hosted Wheat Ridge to kick of the conference season. It was a strong start as the Lady Eagles blanked Wheat Ridge 7-0. The #4 team of Abby Willis/Mary Hertel had a convincing straight set win and the rest of the Lady Eagles took care of business as everyone posted straight set wins in their matches. The conference season continues this week as the team travels to Evergreen and Green Mountain on Tuesday and Thursday.
