Girls tennis claims conference championship, remains undefeated in conference play

Last week was another busy week for the girls tennis team as they continued conference play. Monday, D’Evelyn traveled to Valor in a battle of undefeated conference teams. It was also Senior Night for the Eagles and after seven tough matches, the girls came away with a 4-3 win to remain on top in conference play. The three singles players of Emily Untermeyer, Darby Warburton, and Isabella Pacheco posted straight set wins, and the #1 doubles team of Tiffany Parobek and Lucie Hosse won in straight sets to secure the win.

On Thursday, Littleton came to Valor and the girls had no let down as they came away with a 7-0 victory.  Nicole Gutesha/Elizabeth Jones had a hard fought three-set in at #2 doubles and the #3 and #4 doubles teams of Sam Chavez/Marguerite Keegan and Mary Hertel/Avery Warburton posted straight set wins to help propel the Eagles to the win. Tiffany Parobek had a nice win at #1 doubles which allowed her to finish 22-1 at home during her four years at Valor!!!

The girls wrapped up their regular season on Monday night with a 7-0 win at Golden. They claimed the conference championship, going undefeated in conference play! They are now 10-1 overall.

This week, the team will travel to Mullen on Wednesday and Thursday to compete in the Regional Tournament.
