Girls lacrosse faces two top teams, both games decided by one goal

The Valor girls lacrosse team played two incredible tough games last week, with both games being decided by one goal.

On Tuesday, the Eagles hosted Regis and won 12-11. The Eagles jumped out to a large lead and showed a lot of hustle and heart, holding on to beat Regis for the first time in four years. Addy Tysdal played great in goal. while the attacking efforts were led by juniors Maddie Altman and Danni Malinski.

On Thursday, the Eagles traveled to Douglas County for a heartbreaking one goal loss to Castle View. Although the game didn’t end how the girls wanted, they showed a lot of grit and fight coming back from a five-goal deficit in the first half.

Over the weekend some of the team members traveled to a City Lax game and made posters to cheer on the next generation of little laxers! This week the Eagles take on Chaparral Tuesday at 4:15.
