Girls Golf Returns Four State Tournament Competitors

The Valor Girls Golf Team is excited to begin the 2018 Spring season and hopes to improve on the 2017 ninth place State Tournament finish. Last years’ State Tournament team members returning are senior Izzy Marchino, junior Morgan Hamler, and sophomore Sam Schoenborn. Also returning to compete for the Regional team is senior Caroline Burger. New to the team this year will be junior Kathy Yang, and freshmen Jessie Schulte, Grace Young and Juliana Carpinelli. Coaches Scotty Hofer and Stephanie Spencer feel that Valor’s girls golf team will be competitive this year and be in the mix to win the Jeffco League and 4A Region 2 Tournament on May 8 and place high at the State Tournament (May 21-22).

The team is excited to work on our Spiritual games this season with Chaplain Casey Willett and delve into what it means to daily fulfill our purpose in life – God’ Glory! 1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us that whatever we do, we are to do all to the glory of God! We are looking forward to a team Retreat on March 9-11.

After a couple of weeks of practice, Valor will host an Invitational tournament at Highlands Ranch GC on March 15 to kick off tournament play prior to Spring Break and Practicum week.
