Girls Golf Finishes Third At Regionals, Sends Four To State

On Monday, Valor Golf traveled to Aurora Hills Golf Course for the school’s first ever trip the Girls’ 5A Regional Tournament. After a great day of competition, our Eagles golfed their way into 3rd place in the 5A Northern Region! While only the top 2 teams received automatic bids, all 4 Valor golfers finished the day as State Qualifiers, leading the team to an at-large berth into the 5A State Championships.

Sophomore Grace Young (6th place), junior Sam Schoenborn (10th place), and senior Morgan Hamler (12th place) earned automatic qualifying spots. Then, after finishing in a tie for one of the two alternate qualifying positions from the region, sophomore Jessie Schulte went on to victory on the first extra hole of a sudden death playoff.

Valor Golf will compete for the Girl’s State Title on May 20th and 21st at Harmony Club near Fort Collins.
