Girls finish third, boys take 11th at 4A State Track Meet

The Eagles ended the season at Jeffco Stadium this past weekend at the Colorado State Championships.  The girls team finished in third place behind Niwot and Air Academy.  They made it very interesting on day two and did just about everything they could on the weekend. The boys team finished 11th and made the most of their opportunities on the weekend as well.

Anna Hall scored 34 points and brought home two individual state championships as well as a runner-up and a fourth place finish. She won the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, placed second in the high jump and was fourth in the 400m. Destiny Grimes placed third in the 100m hurdles and fifth in the 300m hurdles. Lizzie Waters placed fourth in the 300m hurdles. Haidyn Ogg was also fourth in the pole vault.  Sadie McMullen jumped her way into fifth place in the long jump and Izzi Mroz placed fifth in the triple jump.  The 4×100 relay team of McMullen, Waters, Grimes and Jamison finished in eight place.

Chase McLean scored 20 points and won the pole vault for an individual state championship.  He also finished fourth in the 110m hurdles and sixth in the 300m hurdles.  Peyton and Preston Rose had a huge day in the shot put where they finished fifth and ninth respectively.

The team competed well on the biggest stage and honored God in how they competed!  They represented Valor very well!
