The Valor Eagles started the week off sluggishly and were humbled at home on Monday night with a 8-5 loss to a fired up Conifer Lobo Squad. The team showed tremendous fight down the stretch, outshooting their opponents 17-3 in final quarter, but it was not enough to pull even. The early season loss gave the team great perspective and the result was three outstanding practices.
The week finished off with a breakout performance against the visiting Lewis Palmer Rangers on Friday night at Valor Stadium. Valor started off the game strong and was able to capitalize on the momentum to pull ahead and stay ahead. The final score was 16-8, and the team will need the newfound confidence as they head to Florida to face National Powerhouse IMG Academy and Plant High School. The Spring Break trip will give the boys in blue an opportunity to forge stronger bonds and to focus on building a stronger culture through team chemistry.
