Eagles Fall To Chaparral, Bounce Back Against Rampart

The girl’s lacrosse team had a whirl wind of a week. The Eagles were scheduled to play Chaparral Tuesday, April 24. The game was canceled due to weather and rescheduled for Wednesday. With the quick turn around in scheduling, officials were only able to cover the JV game and we once again had to reschedule varsity, ultimately playing on Thursday, April 26. Because our teams were already scheduled to play Rampart on this day, varsity played Chaparral at 3:30 pm and Rampart at 7:00 pm with an intermission in between as JV successfully took down Rampart.

Varsity struggled against Chap, losing 16-5, but bounced back and played a strong game against Rampart, beating the Rams 20-6. We had an awesome opportunity for team bonding in between games where we met and were able to discuss the loss, what is holding us back at this point in the season and how we will bounce back stronger than ever to finish our regular season schedule out at the top of our game. I am so proud of how this team opened up and responded. It showed the true character and desire of each player on the roster. We could not be more excited for our match ups against Cheyenne Mountain and East this week.

The team will have the opportunity on Friday to honor our lovely seniors and their contributions to our program. The girl’s lacrosse team is currently ranked 17 and has big hopes for play offs. Seedings will be announced this Sunday, May 6 with the first round games being played Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8
