Eagles Battling Back After Heartbreaking Loss in 2017

After an incredible preseason of fitness training, weight lifting, skill testing, scrimmaging, and FUTSAL, your 2018 Lady Eagles Soccer Program are rip-roaring-ready to go, led by this year’s seniors –  Alex Daws, Camryn Scott, Laura Kladde, and Nicole Wright. The underclassmen are pretty special too, with lots of amazing juniors and sophomores returning to the program, and more than 25 brand new freshmen entering the program for the first time.

The Lady Eagles are trying to soar above their heart-breaking losses in the 4A State Championship in 2016 and in the 4A State Semifinals in 2017. Despite the narrow losses at the end, these were two incredible seasons of team bonding, spiritual growth, academic prowess, and excellent soccer!  This year will be Valor’s last season to compete in the always tough 4A Jeffco League, as next year the team moves up to compete at the 5A level, so we will be working hard to make that jump.

Spiritually, about half of our soccer girls served at Operation Christmas Child back in November, while many others are going on missions trips around the world over Spring Break, including the Soccer Missions Trip to Costa Rica to build two houses and give soccer gear away for needy families. Chaplain Tammy Inman is also ready to launch this year’s team devotions at the upcoming Team Retreat this weekend, which will also feature Team Scavenger Hunts and Olympic Competitions.

The team opens the season at home next Thursday, March 8, vs. Longmont High School in Valor Stadium at 7:00 pm…so come out and cheer on your 2018 Lady Eagles!
