International Experiences

Discovery was birthed and foundationally established the first year of Valor, by the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of our students through the loving service to the “untouchables” in Kolkata, India. By the anointing of the hand of God, Discovery has exponentially expanded and provided opportunities for students to serve on 87 different international experiences in the slums, jungles, villages, islands, plains, dumps, beaches and urban areas of 25 countries on 6 continents.  Discovery International offers a broad spectrum of intercultural learning, immersion, development and service experiences to help students learn to love to serve. They are able to use their unique gifts and abilities to grow and be transformed spiritually, relationally, emotionally, and academically so that they may transform the world by being the “Hands and Feet” of Christ. International experiences empower students to engage worldviews, people, places, cultures and religions as they serve the needs of people without food, clean water, clothing, medical attention and education or who are marginalized and dying spiritually, economically and physically.  Valor freshman through graduating seniors are encouraged to apply and serve internationally, on an academic, compassion, sports, arts, medical, or language immersion experience.
