Valor is preparing for a modified season in athletics.

Valor is thrilled to have the opportunity to be back on campus with our student athletes, seeing them face-to-face and pouring into them in person, for the 2020-2021 school year. Although, the sports season will look different than any time in our nation’s history, Valor is fortunate to be a private Christian school that has the flexibility to make our own decisions during this time and are preparing the following enhancements:

Performance

This school year, Valor is adding to our programs to ensure that every athlete has an exceptional experience and is best prepared to continue their athletic careers in whatever direction they desire.

Skills Sessions

Out-of-season programs will have the following ample opportunities for student athletes to sharpen their skills this during the off season:

  • Season B programs will have three voluntary skill sessions a week.
  • Season C programs will have two voluntary sessions a week.
  • Season D programs will have one voluntary session a week.

College Recruiting

Valor has a long-standing reputation for being very successful in sending student-athletes to college to continue their athletic careers. To date, 423 Valor alumni have gone on to compete at the next level, including 45% to Division 1 schools. We are overly preparing to make sure that every athlete gains the exposure that they deserve this year.  On November 11, Valor had its highest number of  signing commitments in recent history with 33 student athletes committing to college and accepting scholarships to play at some of the top schools in the country.

Season Schedules

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) released its state-wide plan on August 4, 2020.  The most recent plan breaks up the 2020-21 school year into four sport seasons.  Each season will last 7 weeks, with a shortened regular season and postseason schedule.  Valor will continue to practice and develop its athletes to be ready for a championship season in their respective sports.
