Boys golf takes third at CHSAA 4A State Golf Tournament

Valor’s Boys Golf team finished their golf season with a respectable third place finish at the 4A Boys State Golf Championship held at Raccoon Creek GC in Littleton on October 2-3.  There were 11 teams competing for the team championship (best 3 of 4 scores each day) and 84 players total.  Placing in front of Valor (475) was State Champion Montrose (466) and State Runner Up Evergreen High School (472).  Junior Jake Welch placed in the top ten individually with a score of 153 (73-80) to finish in a tie for seventh.  Junior Ty Findlow finished in a tie for 16th with a two-day total of 159 (79-80).  Sophomore Hunter Khan tied for 34th with a score of 167 (82-85), and Junior Trevor White tied for 38th with a score of 169 (88-81).
