Valor’s Varsity golf team will close out the 2017 season this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 1-2, with its ninth straight appearance under the leadership of Coach Jason Preeo in the 4A Boys’ State Golf Championship at Raccoon Creek GC in Litttleton.
Last week, Valor hosted The Valor Invite at Lone Tree GC in cool and wet conditions with about seventeen 4A and 5A teams participating. All of Valor’s Varsity and Junior Varsity players competed. Valor’s State Tourney team placed second, with a team score of 230 behind Champion Ralston Valley (226). Junior Ty Findlow led all Valor players with a 74 to place tied for second individually. Supporting Ty were Sophomore Hunter Kahn with a 77 (tie 9th) and juniors Jake Welch (79) and Trevor White (79). Finishing their season at the Valor Invite were: Tristan Lee (79), Ben Rosenthal (81), Kade Patterson (81), Logan Byler (84), Evan Pahos (84), Tyler Ryan (85), Christian Dokken (86), Spencer Pankratz (88), Lucas Schulte (91), Will Armstrong (93), Ben Hall (98), and Langdon Bradley (103). Valor’s developmental team also saw action to close out their season with rounds at Lone Tree GC and Eisenhower GC.
