Baseball Takes Down Erie and Evergreen

The baseball team traveled to Erie last Wednesday, where they took down the Tigers 11-1. The eagles did a great job frustrating the pitcher with long innings and many walks. Valor would have a bigger game ahead as the prepared for state runner-up Evergreen.

On Monday, the Eagles faced Evergreen at All-Star Park, and defeated the Cougars 18-6. The cougars struck first with a wild pitch but the Eagles would answer back with 4 runs. Three of them would come from Austin Howell how hit a 3 run home run. The Eagles would keep the pressure up forces the Cougars to change pitchers 3 times throughout the game. The Eagles advanced the lead to 11 before Evergreen would respond with 4 runs of their own. Valor would strike back with 5 runs of their own to help seal the deal with a 18-6.
