Riley Scott

Instructional Faculty - Math

Appointed 2008. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Scott spent 11 years in the Math Department at Smoky Hill High School of the Cherry Creek School District where he sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and coached baseball. Mr. Scott is a faculty sponsor of the Valor Special Olympics Club and helps coach the Valor Unified athletic teams, and is known for his “Video of the Week” in the classroom. Mr. Scott received the Valor Department of Excellence Award for 2009-2010 and was chosen for Valor’s Excellence in Teaching Award for 2013-2014. One of his favorite educational quotes is: “I teach you because I care about you. I challenge you because I believe in you. I expect your commitment because I know your future family and job will. I hold you accountable because life will hold you accountable.”

He is the proud father of his daughter, Tes (Valor 2020). In his free time, he enjoys playing ping pong & 80’s arcade games, watching his daughter compete in all facets of life, as well as supporting the Broncos and Duke Basketball, volunteering at his church, and attending Valor events.
