Lynnette St. George

Instructional Faculty - World Language (French) - Department Chair

Appointed 2013. Prior to joining the staff at Valor, Ms. St. George originated a French program at Hampshire High School. After seven years, Lynnette went on to teach French at Wheaton Academy in the Chicago suburbs where she was the Department Head of World Languages and taught French 1-AP. During her time at Wheaton Academy, Lynnette traveled throughout Europe extensively with students, undertaking mission’s trips, and culture and language trips. She also established a Franco-American exchange program that permitted Wheaton Academy students to connect deeply with their French counterparts. She is a frequently requested speaker in college methods classes and as a conference presenter in the States, as well as in France. She has adapted and published several curriculum resources from Spanish into French for TPRS Publishing. In her classroom, all students are valued and have a voice. Lynnette intentionally creates a learning community where students can flourish. Teaching French and mentoring World Language teachers is a passion for this experienced educator. When she is not teaching, writing or speaking, she is traveling and experiencing new cultures.
