Josh Hoffman

Dean of Students - Head Boys Lacrosse Coach

Appointed 2019. Prior to Valor, Mr. Hoffman served students in a variety of ways. He spent two years in campus ministry serving as the high school student ministries coordinator at the International Community School in Bangkok, Thailand. He was on staff with FCA Lacrosse for six years in Baltimore, MD working as the International Ministries Coordinator, a Team Ministry Rep, and coach. Most recently, he taught Religion and Physical Education and coached at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, CA.

Coach Hoffman has been coaching lacrosse since he was 19 years old. After graduating college, he was an NCAA Division III assistant lacrosse coach for two years, prior to his move to Thailand. Upon his return to the States in 2009, he became a coach at Calvert Hall College High School where he remained for 6 years. Over his years working in education Coach Hoffman has also coached American football, wrestling, girls lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and flag football.

In his free time, Coach Hoffman loves to travel and road trip and has been to 25 countries and 30 states. He loves nature, camping, starry skies, camp fires, beautiful vistas, coffee, and ethnic food (His favorites are Thai food, Korean BBQ, and Sushi). He is the second of six children and is uncle to eight beautiful nieces and nephews.
