Jen Sees

Instructional Faculty - English

Appointed 2018. In her career, Mrs. Sees has taught almost every subject at the high school level (except for world language and science) and has passionately pursued curriculum and instruction as both a teacher mentor, professional development trainer, and principal. She earned the Washington State ASCD State Team Award for Contributing to a Significant and Positive Impact on Student Learning for her work as the Summer School Administrator in the Vancouver School District, and has written about curriculum and teaching for several academic publications. At Valor, she is passionate about her task of capturing the excellent curriculum that already exists and crafting it into a student-centered, teacher-friendly, Christ-focused digital curriculum.

Mrs. Sees also coaches pole vault for the Track+Field team. She has a heart for students and loves to walk alongside them both in the classroom and on the athletic fields.

When she’s not writing curriculum, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and chocolate lab. She loves coaching all sports (especially the hurdles) and enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors with Nordic skiing, alpine skiing, single track mountain biking, road biking, hiking, backpacking, and landscape photography.
