Renee Cervantes, Ed.D.

Major Gifts Officer

Dr. Cervantes’ extensive experience in Christian education, development, and communications guided her to her current position at Valor. Most recently she served as the Development Director for The Christian School at Castle Hills, where she led a capital campaign, raising $9 million in four years. There, she produced multiple fundraising banquets including speakers such as Dr. Ben Carson, Tim Tebow, and Mike Huckabee.

Additionally, she served as Communications Director for South San Antonio ISD, Communications Coordinator for Bastrop ISD, and Communications Specialist for Belton ISD. Prior to her work in education, Dr. Cervantes was a
TV and Newspaper Reporter throughout the State of Texas where she received 24 Texas and National School PR Association awards for video and print publications.

In her doctoral dissertation research God led Dr. Cervantes to learn more about Valor. 18 months later, she had graduated and returned to Valor as our Major Gifts Officer.
