Courtney Camden

Alumni Engagement Specialist

Appointed 2020. Courtney returned to Valor as an Alumni Engagement Specialist as an assistant cross country and distance coach after graduating in 2013.

Ms. Camden attended Azusa Pacific University as an undergrad where she played soccer & earned her B.A. in Psychology – Clinical Counseling in 2017. In her time there, she tore two ACLs but was recruited at a half marathon to attend the University of San Diego and pursue her Master’s in Higher Education Leadership, while using her redshirt time to run track & cross country for the school as a graduate student-athlete.
Throughout her time at USD, she worked as the graduate assistant of Alumni Relations in  SOLES (School of Leadership and Education Sciences) where she was able to network with and coordinate Alumni events for USD graduates across the country. She also had the opportunity to intern for Brainard Strategy, a Leadership Consulting firm in Carlsbad, CA that specializes in management consulting. She was named USD SOLES Graduate Student of the Year 2020 before her graduation.
Back in Colorado, she will continue to train and pursue her goal of qualifying for the Olympic Trials in the marathon distance. When she’s not at school, coaching, or training, she loves to explore our beautiful state with her rescue pup, Huckleberry.
