Britta Apple

Instructional Faculty - English

Appointed 2009. Mrs. Apple fell in love with literature in Oxford, England while studying abroad in college. She has enjoyed bringing those experiences into the classroom and has had the opportunity to teach English not only at Valor but at a Seminary in Kitale, Kenya as well. She coached high school soccer and cross country while finishing her coursework for her Masters degree at Wheaton College and started the girls lacrosse program at Valor in 2010.

Britta is actively involved in the Valor culture and has led numerous Discovery trips to Kenya, Uganda, and Thailand, has helped coach Valor’s Speech and Debate team, sponsored a Valor poetry club, and has led local student trips to Niwot for flood relief, to Buena Vista for a week of backpacking, and to Frisco for Valor’s Practicum week. Britta enjoys traveling, backcountry skiing with her husband, Jacob, hiking with their dog, Paisley, and spending time with friends and family. She is especially grateful for the teaching and community her church has provided and is thankful for its Gospel-centered mission.
