Aimee Sorensen

Instructional Faculty - English

Appointed 2011. Prior to her Valor appointment, Mrs. Sorensen taught in the suburbs of Chicago for 14 years at Wheaton Academy, a private Christian high school, and as an adjunct instructor for 3 years at Wheaton College. At Valor, she received the Excellence in Teaching award in 2016. She loves to travel, especially with students. Some of her favorite destinations include England, Italy, Denmark, Morocco, Ecuador, and Kenya. In her free time, Mrs. Sorensen loves spending time with her husband Scott, hiking in the mountains, and kayaking in her 17-foot sea kayak. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4: 4-9 and her favorite author is Annie Dillard.
